This product has great thermal qualities and is fireproof and there is no known incident where termites have touched it. The developer of the product put a block beside a termite next for a year and they never went near it.
We barely ever used the air conditioner as I had the house aspected perfectly to take advantage of morning sun in winter and to avoid afternoon sun in summer - the sun shines all along the front bedrooms in winter and there are only small windows on the western end of the house to block the sun in the afternoon in summer. Then there's the sea breeze that wafts through almost avery day about 11:00 a.m. All in all it's a very pleasant atmosphere to live in and we spent lots of time in the outdoor entertaining area.
